What Does Joule Mean?
What Does Joule Mean?Joules is a measurement of the energy that an atom or molecule has. The amount of energy has been measured in joules, and this amount can be increased by adding energy from an external source.Joules is also known as megajoules and is defined as 'a thousand thousandth of the energy of light'. It is a measurement of energy that is used in a number of different types of industries. Chemistry is a field that uses joules extensively.Chemistry can either be used for the production of things or to measure them. The process of chemistry can be either by chemical reaction or by a physical process. Some jobs are better suited to be performed with science rather than physical labor, as they have a greater number of risks and cannot guarantee an increase in pay.Chemistry uses a lot of science. There are different parts to chemistry, but it is usually dependent on measuring energy. They can be very useful, as they can give exact results. People in a field like chemistry somet imes use formulas and numbers to do experiments. There are many different types of experiments that people in a field can perform in their research. If someone wants to do chemical reactions, they need to use the proper measuring devices and there are many different kinds of liquids that have different concentrations of energy.Alcohols are a big part of this type of chemistry. Other items that make up the main methods of this type of chemistry include fuels, acids, carbonates, bromides, nitrates, phosphates, and sulfuric acids. All of these are used to make different things, but they all have different properties. The most commonly used items in chemistry are the two pieces of equipment used in a chemical reaction. The first is the apparatus and the second is the reaction. A chemist will use many different tools in order to perform a chemical reaction.Joules is a number that is used in all types of science. These numbers are used in everything from elementary particle physics to physi cs experiments that are performed in labs. Chemistry is used in everything that happens in nature and that takes place in the lab.

How to Play Rockabilly Guitar 7 Easy Songs for Beginners
How to Play Rockabilly Guitar 7 Easy Songs for Beginners Megan L. Ready to learn about rock and rolls cousin from the south? If so, youre in the right place! In this article, music teacher Christopher S. explores some of the most influential rockabilly songs of our time and shows you how to play them on guitar The History of Rockabilly The rock and roll style, dubbed rockabilly, is one of the earliest styles of rock and roll music. It dates back to the early 1950âs and comes from the good ol USA, especially from the south. Its a blend of sounds from Western musical styles like country, sometimes bluegrass styles, and that of rhythm and blues. The styleâs name in itself comes from the combination of ârockâ (from the 1950s) and âhillbillyâ music, a common term being used to describe country music of the 40s and 50s. This style was very important for the development of rock and roll music, and it was the basis and influence of many famous bands from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. It was a style which was, in a sense, a rite of passage to play if you wanted to play rock and roll. The styles defining features include strong rhythms, vocal twangs, and often the use of tape echo. It also tends to have fast lyrics and distorted guitars, which gives it a progressive feel, thus attractibg the ears of young listeners. Notable Rockabilly Players The first major artists to be associated playing rockabilly music were Bill Haley, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash, Bob Luman, and Jerry Lee Lewis. The style started a legacy of rock and roll which spawned a variety of sub-styles and influencing styles such as punk rock. If you want to play rock and roll the way famous guitarists such as Jimi Page, Jeff Beck, and Jimi Hendrix did, then you have to learn, at minimum, the basics and some songs by the very first rock and rollers who played rockabilly. Here are seven rockabilly songs that are easy to learn and will teach you how to play rockabilly guitar. 1) Hello Mary Lou by Ricky Nelson This song was recorded and released in 1961 in California. Although its one of the later and poppier songs in our timeline of rockabilly music, this song is easy to play on the guitar and makes for a good intro to the musical style. Below is a guitar tab showing how to play it. Youâll notice most of the song is played with chords. You just have to get that good country guitar rhythm down, and then theres a short but sweet solo to learn. 2) Be-Bop-A-Lula by Gene Vincent and His Blue Caps This song is a classic and probably one of the slower tunes of the rockabilly scene. It has a very swampy but typical singing style with country-influenced twangy guitar sounds. Below is the chord chart for the song. The strumming is a very simple down strum on the beat of a 4/4 rhythm. Its a very easy song to learn because of its slow tempo. 3) Train Kept A-Rollinâ by Johnny Burnette and The Rock and Roll Trio This is a great song because it really shows the rebellious side of the rockabilly sound and its true roots as the precursor to rock and roll. It begins with a rockinâ guitar lick and strummed chords with the rumbling sound and rhythm of a train. This song was considered almost a rite of passage for bands to play in the 70s and 80s. The well-known band The Yardbirds, with guitarists Jeff Beck and Jimmy Page, also made this song well-known in the late 60s. The easy part about this song is that you can almost get away with playing the chords by using only the top and the bottom string. Below is the intro riff and the chord charts. 4) Whole Lotta Shakinâ Going On by Jerry Lee Lewis This is another great tune that was a hit in 1957. The song acutely has its compositional origins from a pianist and club owner named Dave âCurleeâ Williams however, Lewis had been performing it and he released it on his recording session for Sun Records which made it hit the Billboard magazine charts. The chords are played with piano but there are guitar licks and chord figures strumming throughout. Below are the tabs for the guitar parts. 5) Blue Suede Shoes by Carl Perkins This is a very well-known rockabilly song released in 1955, made infamous by the one and only, Elvis Presley. It was released only a year after the Carl Perkins version. This song is very easy to play because its mostly stop and go chords. It has a driving bluesy rhythm, which is easy to strum. Below are the chords to Elvis Presleyâs version of the song. This would be a good version to learn because its the one that most people will recognize. 6) Ooby Dooby by Roy Orbison This is yet another classic, well-known tune by a classic artist. This song was released again by Sun Records. It has a swampy blues rhythm and sounds great at both slow and faster tempos. Roy was even known to perform this song at various tempos. The original has some great rockabilly licks that, if youre learning this style of guitar, theyre essential licks to learn! Below are the tabs for this song. 7) Twenty Flight Rock by Eddie Cochran This is a comical song which was actually released in the comedy film titled The Girl Canât Help It in 1956. Its a song about a man who is complaining about seeing his girlfriend who lives on the 20th floor of an apartment build with no elevator. Its a very cool song and actually was the song that got Paul McCartney into the Beatles. McCartney retells the story of how, at the auditions to enter the Beatles, he played that song and John was so impressed that he actually knew all the words to Twenty Flight Rock that he got the spot. Either way its a great song to learn when learning the rockabilly genre. Below are the tabs for this one. So whether youre just starting to learn the guitar or youre already a skilled guitarist, I hope these songs will get you strumming and picking away at the rockabilly music that came from the 50s and 60s. Learn to play them all and you will see your rock playing improve tenfold! Letâs rock again now! Are there any other rockabilly songs youd like to learn how to play on guitar? Hittin the Road with Your Band 7 Must-Read Tips
Hittin the Road with Your Band 7 Must-Read Tips Suzy S. Were stoked to hear that the Red Hot Chili Peppers have announced an upcoming U.S. tour especially since they havent hit the road here since 2007. So far just six cities have been released, kicking off in Charlotte, NC, on January 25th will you be part of the crowd? If youre in a band yourself, touring is a great way to get your name out there and of course, do what you love best play music! But its also something that takes a lot of planning. Take a look at these 7 essential tips to consider before planning your tour!: 1. Make sure you have written at least one album. Not a couple of songs, an entire album; youll need a lot of songs for your shows. Plan on having enough material to play a 45 minute to hour-long set, plus one or two encore numbers (think positive you want those encores!). 2. Save up money for a few months. Each person should have enough money to pay for his/her own food on the tour and the band should have some money to get started off with you will need gas for the van, some upkeep money for oil, transmission, brake fluids, etc., and sundry money for sundry needs maybe one of you will get a cold, and need some NyQuil or something. Its best to be prepared with more than you think youll need. 3. Come up with a route or plan for your tour. Plan which town/city you would like to play on which days. Try to plot a route that makes sense, i.e., try to make a circle rather than playing in one city one day, traveling 150 miles to the next city the next day, and then doubling back to play back in that same starting city the day after that! Instead, try to book two shows in City #1, a day apart, and then travel on to City #2, 150 miles away. Make sure all of your band members are available during the entire time allotted. 4. Search for contacts in each city you hope to play in. The best contacts are local bands that play in the area and venues. Send the band/venue/promoters in each city a message asking them to check out your band and let them know that you are interested in playing a show with them/at their venue on such and such day. You cant always get a show on the day you are looking for and sometimes have to change your route or find a different venue to play at. Of course, make sure you arent playing on a night when another, bigger band is in the same town. (i.e. If you are an AC/DC tribute band dont play in Denver on the same night that AC/DC is in Denver, because no one will go to your show). 5. Write up a contract for promoters and venues. You dont need to hire a lawyer to write it up, just use common sense. Make a form with spaces for venue name, address, phone number, load-in time, sound check time, show time, and pay. This works both as a means of making sure you do not get screwed over, and also is useful as an itinerary. That way you have a contact sheet for every show and know when you need to be there, and other important information. Send these contracts through e-mail or regular U.S. Mail to each venue or promoter you have arranged a show with. Have them fill it out and send it back. Keep all of the forms they send back for use as an itinerary and also to make sure things go the way they were agreed on. 6. Make up a flyer for each of the shows with the venue name, show date, address and what bands are playing as well as start time and send them to the venues/band/promoters you are playing with. Sometimes promoters or other bands do this for you and send the flyer to you. Either way, make sure it is up on your MySpace and website, if you have one. If youll be playing a large number of dates, you may want to make a template poster with a big blank spot to write in the date, time, location, and cover. Make sure your website is on the flyer, so you dont have to write it out. 7. Get merch made and CDs pressed. If you only have a demo or a three song EP you can still get them pressed and labeled packaged inexpensively. You can also do it yourself; it doesnt really matter, just as long as you have them available to sell/give out on tour. If someone hears your band and likes it but cant get a CD, odds are they will not remember you. Make sure to include your band name, a track listing and a website/MySpace URL so that they can find you online. Start planning these things and youll make some great headway on organizing your bands tour. However, you may also want to keep one thing in mind: Plan for making zero dollars. Most bands just starting out are lucky to just get a gig with a bigger name band they rarely get paid. You do it for exposure (to get your music out there) and because you love it not because you have to make a lot of money doing it. But keep doing what you love and who knows? Maybe RHCP will open for YOU someday! Like these posts? Sign up to receive daily updates right to your inbox! Click here to subscribe.

What is trigonometry
What is trigonometry Tri means three, gon means side and metry means measurement. Measurement of three sides is the Trigonometry. Hence in Trigonometry we deal with triangles. When two angles of a triangle were given then the third side of it can be calculated by using the theorem Sum of all angles in a triangle is 180. When the length of two sides is given then the range of third side can be calculated. Here in most of the cases a right angled triangle is used. Pythagoras theorem is c = a + b All the trigonometric ratios (sin, cos, tan, cosec, sec, cot) are defined by using a right angled triangle. Some of the trigonometric identities are also defined. sin a + cos a = 1 sec a - tan a = 1 csc a - cot a = 1 Sum and difference formulae: Sin ( x + y) = sin x cos y + cos x sin y Sin (x y) = sin x cos y cos x sin y Cos (x+ y) = cos x cos y sin x sin y Cos (x y) = cos x cos y + sin x sin y
